Container Solutions' Trow Project Featured in The New Stack

At Container Solutions, our engineers not only serve clients but also contribute to open-source projects and create new software. We were proud to find that one of our projects—Trow, an image-management solution, a project led by CS’ chief scientist Adrian Mouat—was featured this week in The New Stack.

Trow is a container registry designed to run inside a container cluster, potentially allowing for quicker container boot times, better auditing, and greater control over the images that run in the cluster. Adrian introduced the technology in a CS webinar on Tuesday, and in a presentation at the Cloud Native Virtual Summit held earlier this month.

Here’s a video showing how to install and run the Trow registry on a Kubernetes cluster.

Trow, which was written in Rust for efficiency and reliability, is available under Apache 2.0 license.
